Talk:Operation Anonville - July 26th 2008
From AusChanology Wiki
We should do it in Melbourne not Sydney. --TheArgonautica 23:25, 16 April 2008 (EST)
Enturbulation decided it would be Sydney. The yanks think its our capital. We have more people, and more recognizable land marks. When photos surface of hundreds of anons marching over the Sydney Harbour Bridge, they'll know which country it came from. --Xqzme 09:45, 17 April 2008 (EST)
Good point, very good point. Now I just wish I had the cash to do it. I guess I can save up until then however I'd not be able to afford a decent camera on the day if that's the case. Fucking life being so expensive. --TheArgonautica 13:49, 17 April 2008 (EST)
I'm definitely not going to go. There is no way in hell my parents will let me. So what about protests for the people who aren't going? I'll still go to the city (Melbourne) to represent anon. PMagic 16:57, 17 April 2008 (EST)
This just proves that Sydney>Melbourne. kthxbai --Samwu22128 11:45, 27 April 2008 (EST)

Be cautious of joining facebook groups about anonymous. It's a quick way to be Fair Game (Scientology) --Tooth 01:01, 18 June 2008 (EST)
PARTEY
sure it's not the main focus
but half the reason some of us go is the irl /b/ and other social parts
so why dont we sorta plan the party out a bit more?
it's gonna be epix
World Youth Day
Is dangerously close to Operation Anonville's date.
World Youth Day is the largest youth event in the world and will be held in Sydney from Tuesday 15 to Sunday 20 July 2008.
What does anon think? --Samwu22128 11:45, 27 April 2008 (EST)
asyd.org == Anti Scientology Youth Day :) --Tooth 00:13, 17 June 2008 (EST)
shoop
those who cant go need to find the biggest green screen they can and take a few happy snaps infront of it :) we'll shoop you in later. --Xqzme 23:16, 21 April 2008 (EST)
Publicity shots
Here's a question; With the focus on us being one of the first anon protests and the importance of the internet connection is it worthwhile getting pictures of the anons in front of a recognisable sydney landmark to inspire other cities to out do us? xqzme mentioned walking over the bridge above. The media would *love* that though.
I think that would be too far to go just for a publicity shot, but is there anywhere closer? Maybe the Opera house? Still could be a bit far for some anons though. --Tooth 23:25, 25 April 2008 (EST)
The opera house is a good bet, most people on the planet know it. Otherwise, the bridge as a backdrop is also a good idea.- Journeyman
City rep signs
If you're coming in a group, why not do a "Brisbane Anonymous RoX Sydney!" sign to show ppl how much this means to you and that you are not local. (same goes for Melbourne, Adelaide and Hobart anons)
Suggested Activities
Some a bit silly, get the juices flowing:
- Mexican Wave
- Chalk drawing (do we need a permision?)
- Frisby in Hyde Park
- Hot potato
- Xenu says ...
- Battery operated bubble blower (I'm putting it my anon box *now*. I've forgotten it twice --Tooth 23:12, 17 June 2008 (EST))
Accommodation
Okay guise maybe this isn't the best place to put it, but for out-of-state anons, group accommodation at backpacker hostels and such is the cheapest and best choice. If you're going and want to organise to group up with other anons, say so here and me and other anons may work something out. Or email me or something. The bigger, the better! - Journeyman
