What to Bring

• Water
• Lots of Flyers and Pamphlets
• Mask / Disguise - sunglasses and a hat if you fail at life
• Digital Camera
• A fun attitude
• Clearly marked signs in LARGE PRINT. Have signs and hold them high, preferably ones that the general public will understand.
• Flag(s) if your state isn't too poor to afford them

What not to Bring

• Violence

• Drugs or alcohol
• Hate Speech
• Graffiti/Vandalism
• Trolling
• Hoon behavior

Behaviour

If it hasn't already been pointed out, I'd like to stress; Please behave and be courteous to the public masses on the streets this Saturday.

• No violence, weapons, etc. This is a peaceful public awareness campaign where words speak louder actions, and not the other way around as common belief would state (inversion intended).
• Be open and friendly. At Sydney, Glebe, Anonymous was very polite to the initially disapproving police officers, but by the time we left, the police were pretty cool guys, tehy supported us and doesn't afraid of nothing as they honked.
• Consider the space which you take up as you walk down streets with narrow footpaths - give way. I suggest walking curbside to maximise exposure to the cars on the road and with people in/out of shops whilst not being a pestilence to people who are in a hurry.
• Please minimise littering - it's bad karma and it upsets the environment. I won't like you for that.
• Remember a toilet stop just before the protest - don't want anyone wetting their pants on camera.

Anonymous flags implant the message that these are global protests by showing consistency (and dare I say intelligence?) between all protests. The logo itself resembles that of the UN logo and represents us as a global cause.

Time/Location

• 12.00PM (Midday)
• The Big Fountain, Hyde Park, Sydney
• Please arrive early for administration
• Late arrivals to see schedule or meet at the "Church"

Schedule

• 11.00AM Earlyfags meet, (some early posters advertised this time) sit on the fountain facing St James (North), party hat on so passers by can recognise fellow anons
• 12.00PM Administration starts (Official start time of protest, according to permit)
• 12.15PM Collect masks
• 12.30PM Opening speech (given by Kitty)
• 12.45PM Split in to two groups for march
• 1.00PM George Street (blue line) group begins march
• 1.10PM Pitt Street (red line) group begins march
• 1.45PM George Street crosses to south side of Park St and waits for Pitt St group or vice-verca (ie one group per side)
• 2.00PM Meet at Church (201 Castlereagh St)
• 4.00PM Protest activities must be ended by this time, as this is what is dictated in our permit.
• 5.00PM Epic drinking takes place at Bar Ace

Masks/Attire

Masks are more or less mandatory. Please come dressed in a suit if you can, to add to the 'anonymous' image. Failing that black is the flavour of the month. White Roses have also been suggested. Bring a party hat, even if you don't wear it. It will assist in identifying other anons.

This means if you are approached, you direct the reporters to these people. Be very careful what you say, editing can do some amazing things these days.

Time/Location

• Like last time: Under clocks at Flinders Street Station, 1:30/1:45pm for an organization meeting.
• March to the "Church" of Scientology (Cnr Russell St & Flinders Lane) at 2:00
• Move groups of people to the corners of (Collins and Russel) and (Russel and Flinders) (See Map for more details)
• Move other small recruiting groups at Flinders St Station, Bourke St Mall, Melbourne Central and State Library
• Break apart at 5:00 unless organized on the day.
• Get drunk!
• WARNING: There may be trouble makers acting as Anonymous at this protest, if this occurs all true Anonymous must walk away from the persons causing trouble and inform the Police in order for them to be PartyVaned!
• This is Rumour Control. Here are the facts! Back from checking with police (paranoid as always, went to a public phone some distance away) no Scientology, Youth Human Rights International or Citizens Commission on Human Rights protest/counter-protest/shindig/gettogether/etc that they are aware of for the 15th.

Keep in Mind

• People were going back and fourth printing new flyer's, be prepared and print off some Anti-Scientology Flyers.
• Stay off the Road Islands, it is against the law and the police last time kept making a fuss about it.
• LEAVE A FUCKING WALKWAY FOR REGULAR PEOPLE TO MOVE. The very people we are trying to convince we were pissing off because they couldn't get by.

Uniform

• Guy Fawkes/V Masks/Fail masks is preferably. If unable to locate a Fawkes mask, try to obscure your face any way you can.
• Good old faithful /b/lackup suit is always best
• PARTY HATS TO CELEBRATE L. RON's BDAY!

Contacting the Media

See [article] The general rule is we don't contact channel 9 or other Packer media due to their negative exposure last time.

• Melbourne Raid DVD from the last protest need to be handed out, there will be over 120 discs.

The discs will be given to anon's to be handed out as the person who made the discs will be doing other things at the protest. If you can help hand them out that will be great, let MM know on IRC. Please try to hand out discs to Anons from the first protest if possible, then to other people. If anons are from the same group give out 1 disc and tell them to burn it for each other. This way we can hand out to more people.

• Raid Filming

If anyone has anything what they wish to say and have filming to go on annonmelb.blip.tv feel free to make prepared factual statements and they will be included. In the last raid we had people speaking about the freewinds, lisa, the cult awareness network. So if you have more to add do some research and speak it!

Brisbane

Time/Location

1300 hours, starting at Brisbane Parliament House and moving into Brisbane square within half an hour. Refer to the map linked at right for route information.

Schedule

• 1300 (1pm): We will gather in George Street outside the old Parliament House, and then we shall march to Brisbane Square.The map on the right shows the route to be taken
• 1315 - Leave Brisbane Parliament house and head West along George street to Brisbane Square.
• 1500 (3.00pm): Our permit expires at this point, so Anonymous can either split into groups of <5 and flyer again or go home etc.

• (a) A small splinter group of ~30 people will break off and head down Rundle Mall
• (b) The rest will head down Grenfell Street
• Turn Left onto King William Street
• Turn Right onto Waymouth, and then organise out front of the Scientology building

Uniform

• A cheap mask can be found at Go-Lo in Rundle Mall for $2.50 - requires a bit of painting to bring it up to make it a Guy Faux mask.
• If your still having trouble, a dust mask or medical face mask and a pair of sunglasses will suffice.

March 15th has been chosen as the date for the next protest, as the 13th is L Ron Hubbards birthday, and the Scientologists will be having a get together. Unfortunately it's also a weekday, the 15th is a Saturday.

Protest Details

• Time: 11AM to (permit defined) 1PM
  • Note, after 1pm it's envisioned that smaller groups will spread out and distribute any remaining flyers.
• Date: Saturday 15th March
• Location: Infront of Wesley Church, cnr Williams and Hay in the CBD.

HUGELY FUCKING IMPORTANT: In July 2007 a Sydney woman killed her father and sister, and caused grievous bodily harm to her mother after her medication was withheld by her parents (Due to their Scientologist beliefs). We *NEED* to make sure that people are aware of this.

Uniform

The previous protest had no masks, due to people calling the police beforehand and being told that it was not going to be allowed. Due to the superb behaviour of anonymous on the 10th of Feb the police have now accepted the wearing of masks for the March 15th protest. Guy Fawkes masks are preferred.

Where to buy Guy Fawkes masks:
This place Has some fairly good Guy Fawkes masks, at around $15AUD with shipping.

Anon edit: I'm thinking a brazen approach like this, whilst in the spirit of anon is a good show of bravado, it's possibly not a good idea. We're dealing with the CoS here. They use the law and it's infinite loopholes to enforce their fair game policy. I'd say someone should be looking at organising with the Police/CoP about getting the protest permit nice and early and saying that we're going to be wearing masks. As leverage we have the good behavior from the last protest, and if we come up with a solid plan/route/timetable then they'll be hard pressed to deny us.

We also need to discuss some sort of uniform, I understand that last time it was difficult figuring out who was with the protest. Ideas could be a specific hat, or maybe some sort of iron-on T-Shirt print.

Anon Edit: Just wear dark clothes. Iron on transfers/shirts will only be for those who want to.

Also, those able to wear suits, should. It maintains the "Anonymous" image, and might make us appear more than "hackers on steroids" (which makes no sense anyway, but whatever).
