THIS IS AN ARCHIVED ENTRY REGARDING TO THE DISTRIBUTION OF FLAGS TO OPERATION PARTY HARD PROTESTS (2008-03-15).
See Anonymous_Flags for main article on flags.
Anonymous flags implant the message that these are global protests by showing consistency (and dare I say intelligence?) between all protests. The logo itself resembles that of the United Nations logo and represents us as a global cause.
The flags will NOT be in time for Operation Party Hard - March 15th 2008.
Due to the ordering of professional flags the time frame has lapsed, the states missed out on acquiring Anonymous flags. However, a fellow Melbourne Anon attempts to deliver, by operating a one-man sweatshop!

Design / Construction
- Main article: Operation: Clandestine Sweatshop
The final dimensions of the flag will be roughly 1350mm in length and 800mm in height.
This is slightly smaller than the standard 1500mm x 900mm. Reasons for slightly smaller size, are the expense and difficulties of making larger flag due to the restrictive sizes of materials available for construction. For the extra 100mm in height to become standard size, the costs will be about 50% extra, plus extra chance of fail, because it's a bit harder to make.

Mounting Instructions:
- Poles will need to be acquired by each state. Please check your local laws if you are allowed to have flags in public and allowed to use flag poles. If it is to be used, ensure that you only have flag bearers that can be trusted and able to control themselves. Remember that the flag is one of the focal points of the protest party, and if any wrong activity were to occur, such as using the flag pole as a weapon will be seen.
- Broomstick handles, or paint roller extension poles can be used as flag poles and can be purchased from a hardware store. Make sure it's not too thick like the proper flagpoles, because I assumed that everyone will use a broomstick handle or something else of a similar thickness. The pole sleeve can accommodate a pole with a 10cm circumference. All states should notify us, if a thicker sleeve is required.
- Be sure to mount the flag the right way up - check the picture if you're not sure. The pole sleeve only allows you to mount the flag onto the pole in an upright position anyways. Upside down generally means "under distress". The Anon flagmaker has thoughtfully removed a means for anyone to have the flag slotted upside down. Anon is not allowed to show weakness, especially flag bearers.
- Flag bearer holsters can be purchased from a military surplus stores like Aussie Disposals, or Mitchells. This is optional. But it helps a lot if you intend to hold it up for a long time, plus it's got an "ceremonial" feel to it (if that's a positive thing or not).
Delivery
-
The flags will be send out Wednesday Morning express post via Australia Post and will arrive on Thursday, but due to the random nature of posties collecting the mail, sorting and delivery; Friday would be at latest (unless something went wrong). Sorry for this last minute risky business, as finding a source for the flags and the decision to procure them were also made on the eleventh hour.
Work not finished. Cannot send.
Question Time
Question 1:
Hello, I wish to buy a flag. Is that possible? for the future events? - Snurglewozzle 16:34, 10 March 2008 (EST)
RESPONSE: In the event that no one wants to repurchase the flags, for later events, the flags would be available for sale. Anon won't probably make anymore flags due to lack of manpower with some crafting skills.
UPDATE: Anon may make flags in the future. Check this page, once in a while to see if we're open for new orders or check the messages floting around on you local raid channel. Whether we're open or not, depends on time available to use the manufacturing equipment and personal workload.
Question 2:
Surely you can get one done for the melbourne protest? if you worked quick and hard and showed up with it that would pwn (too bad im not going). You could even finish it on the day --PMagic 16:37, 13 March 2008 (EST)
RESPONSE: It is highly likely that one will be completed. Any extra finished ones that were meant for the interstates, could be made available temporarily for use on the Melbourne event, which would be later passed on to those fellas over the border after use, if they still want the flags, that is.
UPDATE: Melbourne has 1 flag ready to enter the battlefield.
