Operation Parramatta Flyerdrop - May 31st 2008/Coverage
From AusChanology Wiki
We handed out OVER ONE-THOUSAAAAAAAND flyers in less than three hours, and got much more interest from the public than we initially anticipated. I think Parramatta was a good idea, and a place that we should hit again. YellowPantsGuy on asyd.org forums
The day went very well. I was a bit skeptical about Parramatta myself, but no, it went surprisingly well.
Special thanks to YPG for pitching the idea and Keyboard Cowboy for suggesting the best time for it (seriously, that was a good point you made).
We got bullbaited by a couple of Scis but keeping in line with their solid reputation for failing miserably, they didn't get very far and quickly retreated. Got a few people recognising who we were. Many were very interested and we had some very pleasant chats. One of the benefits of flyering OUTSIDE the CBD. People are less in a hurry and more willing to talk, especially at Saturday, noon.
