Clothing

Suits are ideal to maintain uniformity, this really grabs the attention of the media (see right). Failing that dark clothing is preferrable. Make sure you check out the weather on the day of the protest to ensure you're not going to freeze/cook. Suits look fantastic but aren't much fun in mid 20 degree heat after walking 15 minutes in the sun. Also remember to wear comfy shoes, as you're going to be doing a lot of walking, and a lot of standing.

Masks

Once again Guy Fawkes are ideal, if you have one or can afford one. It is strongly recommended that you cover your facial features one way or another for obvious reasons, scarfs and sunglasses can be used if you are unable to get a mask.

Various cities and where to get the masks:

Backpacks

If you're going to bring one, make sure you keep it on or around you at all times. If you absolutely must leave it somewhere, leave it with a friend or someone you trust. A backpack is often full of information that Scilons could use to identify you or otherwise, and there is the risk of expensive belongings being stolen. Consider leaving personally identifiable information at home, if you bring a wallet, keep it on you at all times. Also remember to pack light, you're going to be lugging this around all day. If you need to bring flyers along with you, consider using a disposable plastic bag, or a cotton green grocery bag.
