Doesn't this look awesome? Its sinister but also humourous.

Guy Fawkes was one of a cell of terrorists who tried to blow up the British Parliament as it was opened by James I on 5th November 1605. All the group were either arrested and executed, or died in battles with James' soldiers; a couple actually blew themselves up by trying to dry out wet gunpowder in front of an open fire. Because of that incident masks of his face have ever since been used as a symbol by the establishment as failure (with his very name 'Guy' meaning an insult), and as a symbol for revolution by activists (much more recent).

Make Your Own

Paper Craft

This is what it could look like (certainly not mine!)
This is what it could look like (certainly not mine!)

  • The Paper Craft Mask is produced by cutting out shapes and assembling (read: glueing) them into the Guy Fawkes mask.
  • Download PaperCraft - Original Source
  • Time consuming
  • Requiring precision and patience (something I don't have, see photos = epic fail)
  • On the day some people did nice jobs of making them, some covered them with tape to make them strong.

Alternatives

  • Use other masks, Alien, Tom Cruise, Bart Simpson
  • Make something, paper bags etc, be creative (NO BALACLAVA's!)
  • Improvise, just use big sun glasses and scarfs and hats.
