In his interview with John Safran and Father Bob, Cyrus Brooks pretty much danced around the interview avoiding questions, and giving half arsed answers.

On this page you will find notes taken while listening to the interview and maybe you can see as well that Mr Brooks made a few boo boo's and got pwned by Father Bob.

Part 1

Cyrus Brooks from the beginning of the interview completely galzed over why Anonymous was protesting Scientology, saying that we were there protesting about freedom of speech which was only one of our reasons, then goes on to talk about the Tom Cruise video and how it was chopped up and they were misrepresented. With the content of the video, there was no need for Anon to massively edit the video to make them look like delusional zealots. Note the use of the word delusional, and its definition in the DSM:

"A false belief based on incorrect inference about external reality that is firmly sustained despite what almost everybody else believes and despite what constitutes incontrovertible and obvious proof or evidence to the contrary. The belief is not one ordinarily accepted by other members of the person's culture or subculture (e.g., it is not an article of religious faith)."

He also incorrectly stated how many Anons turned up to the protest at Scientology Site 1 in Sydney with 150... Anons figures show that there were at least 300.

Also stating that Scientologists were harrassed by us as they entered and left their building... it wasn't really harrassment. Anon treated them as kindly as possible, given that we were there to protest against their religious organisation / pyramid scheme / front for brainwashing its followers and committing massive abuse of human rights.

Upon mentioning the amount of money people need to pay to progress through Scientology, he completely puts the focus on the Anonymous Code and how evil Anon is. Then when guided back to the question again, he goes on to say that people should donate as much money as they want as long as it goes toward something good. What good is scientology doing Mr Brooks? and do these people know that 90% of their donations go to a bank account to pay for legal fees and the cost of court cases against the church?

Lets dance around the question again completely until Father Bob points out that people are paying for enlightenment, to which he replies "That's not really the main point, but it does cover the expenses of the church." then when Father Bob clarifies "I'm not being critical, I'm just trying to explain to myself... but there is something in exchange for the money"

Cue the drumroll... "Yes, yeah, and the main system. Its been that way so that you could fund the churches expenses."

MM: Also the Scientologist kept using the bible to justify his own beliefs... Ask yourself this: Why do they need to use the bible to justify who/what they are? Can't scientology stand on its own with its own books?

Safran said (in this episode: http://mpegmedia.abc.net.au/triplej/safran/safran_20080210.mp3)that he would soon be having Anonymous on the show. So far he has not. Anyone well-informed, well-spoken volunteers?
