  • Start At Victoria Square
  • March down King William St
  • Head down Waymouth St, and spend 1 hour and 5 minutes out the front of the Scientology building. (long enough to give the Security Guards an extra hour of pay :P)
  • Continue down King William St
  • Turn Right onto Rundle Mall
  • Continue Down Rundle Mall and Rundle St
  • Finish the march at Rymill Park

Melbourne Anonymous will be focusing on scientology's abhorrent use of child labour this month.

Start time: 12:30pm
Location: Flinders Street Station (out the front of the steps of the main entrance)

Schedule and route

  • 12:30 - Meet at Flinders Street Steps
  • 13:30 - Move up Flinders Street and down Russel to the Church
  • 13:35 to 14:00 - Cos visit
  • 14:00 - Move down Russell st, turning down Bourke Street.
  • 14:10 to 15:00 - Bourke Street Mall. Maybe venture into Swanston St as well.
  • 15:00 - Head down Swanston Street to the State Library
  • 15:10 to 16:00 - Hand out fliers at the State Library
  • 16:00 - We head off to the Pub!

Sydney

Sydney Anonymous have decided to use Operation: Tax The Cult as the theme for August. In light of the upcoming review of tax exemption status for charitable organisations, Anonymous Sydney have decided that it is of GREAT importance that we educate the public on Scientology's tax-exempt status. If you design any posters or flyers, please post them here for others to download and go poster-happy. Head to Asyd.org to participate in discussion!

Start time: 11am
Location: Hyde Park Fountain

Schedule and route

  • assemble Hyde Park (north) from 11:00am
  • around 12:00pm move from Hyde Park (north) to the vicinity of 201 Castlereagh Street Sydney
  • around 1:00pm move from vicinity of Castlereagh Street to Town Hall Square, George Street Sydney
  • from 2:00pm the crowd will commence to disperse
  • but in any event, the gathering is to completely disperse no later than 3:00pm
  • any later events fall outside the permit (still legal, just not lawful under the main permit)

(note, these are the new agreements with the police, whilst we hit Castlereagh St first and Town Hall second, we have successfully negotiated the same time frame we wanted. Side quests are outside the Sydney Central LAC and do not concern them. Whoever was 'sorting' that second permit failed, both permits will be filed at the same time for the next protest and handled simultaniously for efficiency. It is also worth noting that it is legal for any small number of protestors to choose to leave the protest and stand around the Org, however it would be preferable if participants in such activities were over 18 and even still accompanied by a photographer, due to recent complaints by the Church of Scientology crying wolf.)

  • Super seekrit sidequest anons carry out flash raids and public-relations throughout the night until bored

Additional Information

  • as with last protest, marshalls will be appointed, 10 this time down from 15, good sign. Also flag bearers will be divided so we have flags up front and rear for organisation of processesion. Just like the beach, stay between them and the sharks won't eat you.
  • there will be an afterparty, ask trusted anons for the location, venue is secured and OT8 will be read to suspected spais so they die of pneumonia as LRH says they will if they skip ahead a 'levelup'.  :)
  • rumour has it flash raids will be carried out throughout the evening, mostly public-relations boosting stuff.
  • police have been notified that the Church of Scientology are distributing flyers passing off as to be authored by Anonymous (the 'black PR' or 'Anonymous FAQ' flyers) and were made aware the 'assaults', 'intimidation' and 'harassment' the Church of Scientology was complaining about and sending out cease and dissist letters were negated by the voluntary assumption of risk; that being, if you hand out flyers illegally claiming to be authored by the CoS you'd expect them to want to document your actions by following you to videotape / photograph you and ask you questions.
  • photography from the CoS side of the street was raised with the Commander, he was in agreeance that this is acceptable conduct, last protest we had numerous people 'sent back' to 'our side of the street' which affected legitimate journalists, photographers and videographers alike.
  • eat before you come, no lunch breaks.  :P
