Bomb Threats
From AusChanology Wiki
The Church of Scientology around the world have said that there have been a number of bomb threats made by "Anonymous" as a group. This page is here for the Church as an official stance by Anonymous with in Australia.
The YouTube Threat
To clear up facts about the YouTube bomb threat, Anonymous world wide believes that the threat was most likely made by the Church of Scientology. The reason we have to suspect this is because the bomb threat was posted on YouTube in a low resolution Flash Video file with compression artefacts. The Church of Scientology then released a DVD entitled "Anonymous Facts" that contained an NTSC quality version of the same threat without any loss in colour or compression.
To illustrate our point, here is a clip that shows a side by side comparison of the Church's DVD quality version of the bomb threat next to the YouTube FLV version.
Secondly it is not outside the scope of the Church of Scientology to create bomb threats against itself, in the past we have seen Scientology attack its critics such as Paulette Cooper by framing her for bomb threats made against the Church. We suggest you research “Operation Freakout” to have a full understanding about how the Church of Scientology attacks its critics.
The Church Responces to Threats
We would like the Church of Scientology to understand that if they receive a phone call from an anonymous person, that does not constitute that the group called Anonymous made such a call. We find such actions immature and a sad attempt for public appeal.
- We suggest that the Church learns to communicate better, and as always Anonymous is here to help.
- If the Church wishes to talk to the media about a bomb threat, etc. being made we suggest that the church say:
- If the Church wishes to talk to the media about a bomb threat, etc. being made we suggest that the church say:
“An anonymous person has made a threat against our church, we can not comment until the proper authorities have concluded their investigation.”
NOT
"Anonymous has made threats against our church” or any thing else to that effect.
Finally we also suggest that if the Church makes threats against itself again – Anonymous will see it as an abuse of police resources and as always, we will endeavour to inform the public.
Anonymous aids The Church of Scientology
Anonymous believes that no member of our group would be so stupid as to make any form of threat such as physical violence or bomb threats towards members of Scientology or its buildings, if any member is being investigated such actions will be taken care of by the police, furthermore Anonymous will work with law enforcement in anyway possible to help with their investigations.
To aid the Church on the matter of real bomb threats made against it within Australia, Anonymous recommends that the Church look at downloading and printing a copy of “Dealing with threats” by ANEDO.
