Is a project being undertaken by Anonymous to gain support from Australian psychologists, psychiatrists, and human rights advocates.
At the moment we are working on compiling a list of contacts in the three fields so that we can commence our first mailout.
If you want to join the taskforce, or want to lend a hand with info or contacts, feel free to drop by the #sydneyraid channel on IRC and contact Birmingham_. If Bir is not there, chances are someone who has them on MSN is and you can get them to forward information to me.

Psychologists / Psychiatrists

A resource list is in the works for people in the field we can contact and hopefully get on board. If they can't join us, then I am sure some of them would be willing to help us work out the how's and why's of the CoS violations.
Few notes:
- Psychology and Psychiatry are 2 very distinct fields which both happen to fall under the umbrella term of "mental health care". Do well to remember that. Psychology is more about counselling and looking at family problems and resolvement. Psychiatrists study medicine and are the ones who prescribe drugs. They are initially doctors who have selected a specialty
- Psychology and Psychiatry with capitol letters, they get antsy about that shit
- They also get antsy about getting there professions confused. as such a specialised letter to each is required.

Human Rights

We should start mass mailing all of the human rights lawyers to get on board with the cause.

From IRC: With the letter to Psychs, may I suggest it be added that one of our very own now has the responsibility and legal duties as a parental figure of a child due to post natal depression being "non existent"
This letter needs to be done over again (it still sucks a bit) and specialised for the 2 fields below. remembering the differences outlined above.
Attention members of the Psychiatric and mind sciences field.
The Church of Scientology has dismissed your profession, your livelihood and your desire to help people as fiction. They maintain there is no such thing as a chemical imbalance and that psychology is simply a scam in order to sell pharmaceutical drugs. Since undertaking our campaign against the Church of Scientology we have become aware of Scientology's crusade against your profession and their efforts to make psychiatric care unavailable to people in need.
As psychiatrists and psychologists, you would know the extent of damage methods used by the Church of Scientology would cause. They have targeted your profession because you are the only people who could give solid proof that the practice of Scientology is harmful to the human psyche. Their beliefs and practices in regards to mental health care have already caused irreversible damage to the lives of many. Literally.
Jeremy Perkins (The schizophrenic son of one Eli Perkins) was denied proper medication for his condition due to the anti-psychology strictures of the church. As a result he stabbed his mother 77 times. He was found not guilty on charges of manslaughter for reasons of medical disease or defect. He was committed to a health facility on January 29 2004.
Unfortunately this is not the only case of death arising from the churches stance on mental health care.
Lisa Mcpherson was born February 10th 1959. After a car accident she was found wandering naked nearby. Showing clear signs of mental instability; She was taken to a nearby hospital but refused psychological care for her mental state. Instead she checked into a Scientology owned hotel for "Rest and Relaxation" It was in this hotel that she was given a Scientology treatment known as "Introspection Rundown" (which we urge you to research) during which she died 17 days after checking into the hotel. The coroner concluded that she had cockroach bites and had lost over 50kgs during the course of her "treatment". It was in Lisa's memory that Anonymous marched on February 10th 2008. Her Birthday.
It is also evident in the Australian case involving Linda Walicki, who murdered her sister and father then attempted to kill her mother. Psychiatric care was withheld due to her families beliefs in Scientology.
With enough evidence brought to light, those in power will have no choice but to listen to the voice of the people. It is time to put a stop to their violation of human rights, their suppression of free speech, the silencing of their critics, and most importantly... the manipulation, the financial extortion, and the psychological abuse of their followers.
Anonymous needs your help in order to prevent any further deaths and human rights atrocities by this "church".
Anonymous needs you to submit hard evidence to be made public that will educate people to the dangers of the Church of Scientology, the OSA (Office of Special Affairs), and the RTC (Religious Technology Center).
If not for your professional reputation, your integrity as health care professionals, if not for the dead, if not for the dying, if not for the weak or afraid. Then please: for those who cannot help themselves.
